SIP PANELS

What are SIP Panels and how are the an economical alternative to traditional building methods?

SIPs Panels

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high-performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, oriented strand board (OSB3).  Our SIPs panels are manufactured under strict factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy-efficient and cost-effective.

We can reduce onsite labour time by producing SIPs panels up to 7m in length.

We offer various thicknesses of SIPs panels from 90mm to 220mm - these different thicknesses will have their own U Values attributed

OSB 3

Our houses are built on the frame-panel construction technology using sandwich panels. Sandwich panel or structurally-insulated panel (SIP - Structural Insulated Panel) is a construction material with a three-layer structure that consists of two sheets of rigid material (OSB-3) and a layer of insulation between them (expanded polystyrene). All parts of sandwich panels are glued together by pressing. The main components of the sandwich panel are OSB-3 and expanded polystyrene.

“OSB-3” (orient stand board, "3" - moisture resistant) or wooden oriented strand board is a plate manufactured by pressing flat chips at high pressure and temperature conditions. The synthetic resin and paraffin emulsion are used as binders.

EPS Insulation

Expanded Polystyrene or EPS is the most versatile insulation product used in construction finding applications for the insulation of walls, floors and roofs. Not only that but EPS is also one of the most cost effective, best value-for-money packaging materials on the market today.

EPS offers an exceptionally lightweight solution to so many applications in construction and packaging. This is not surprising when you consider that, as a result of advanced manufacturing technologies, EPS is effectively 98% air captured within a 2% cellular matrix. EPS uses no greenhouse gas producing materials. It is chemically and environmentally non-aggressive and it can be – and is – easily recycled into long-life products through an expanding nationwide network of collection points.
